a message from the Superintendent's Office
A Message from our Superintendent:
12 September 2025
Dear Palmyra Families, Students, and Staff,
Our first full week of school is in the books, and I could not be prouder of the start we have made together. Walking through each building this week, I saw eager students, welcoming classrooms, and staff who set a positive tone from the very first bell.
At Charles Street and Palmyra High| Middle Schools, the halls were buzzing with excitement as lessons began and new friendships formed. At Delaware Avenue, our preschoolers are already exploring, playing, and learning with wide-eyed curiosity. Everywhere I went, the energy was joyful and the focus on learning was clear.
The improvements around our district are also taking shape. Freshly updated spaces, from classrooms to common areas, are already helping create warm, engaging environments for students and staff. Thank you for your patience as we finish the final touches. It is wonderful to see these plans becoming reality.
Convocation set the tone for the year with its spirit of collaboration and Panther Pride. That energy carried straight into the classrooms this week and reminded me how special our school community is.
Thank you to every family for the morning send-offs, every student for your enthusiasm, and every staff member for your dedication. Together we have shown that when Palmyra comes together, amazing things happen. I am excited to see what we accomplish next.
With gratitude and excitement,
Florencia Norton
Superintendent of Schools
