The Girls Soccer Team went 2-1 on the week.  After a tough loss at Gateway High School on Monday the girls recovered to win their next 2 games.  The girls crushed rivals Riverside High School on Wednesday, 6-0.  Mikayla Mangano had 3 goals and an assist to lead the Lady Panthers.  La’Nya Muldrew-Bracero, Meghan Austin and Jillian Hines all scored as well.  Cam DiMeo provided an assist.  Elsie Kenson had the shutout in goal for the girls.
On Friday the girls took down Burlington Township High School 3-1.  Mikayla Mangano recorded her 2nd straight hat trick to lead the scoring for the Lady Panthers.  Jillian Hines and Sofia Gravano each recorded an assist.  Elsie Kenson made 7 saves in goal to earn the win.  The girls are now 6-2 on the season.  The girls will host Bordentown on Thursday for their next game.

Congratulations to the Palmyra Marching Band & Color Guard for their 2nd place finish at the Plymouth Whitemarsh Cavalcade of Bands competition on Saturday.  The band got back on the winning track after hitting a speedbump last week.  The band scored a 77.55, just narrowly missing out on first by a half of a point.  They beat the 3rd place group by 3 points.  This is also a higher score than at this point last year during their historic run.  The Band won caption awards for Best Visual and Best Field Music.  The Color Guard also came out on top winning Best Color Guard overall.   The score now ranks them as second in the Independence A class for Cavalcade of Bands.

The Boys Soccer Team went 1-0-1 on the week.  The boys opened their week with a 2-2 comeback tie against archrivals Riverside High School.  The boys battled back to tie the game twice.  The first goal was scored by Kian Briant off of a corner kick and Jaxon McCamy scored the 2nd goal for the Panthers.  The boys finished off the week with a 2-1 overtime win against Florence on Friday.  Kian Briant had a goal and an assist, setting up Pat Broadbelt’s game winner in overtime.  The boys are now 3-3-3 on the season and will travel to Penns Grove for their next game today.

The Girls Tennis Team dodged the raindrops last week.  Their lone match came on Monday against Pemberton.  The girls lost the match 5-0 and will return to action tomorrow in the NJSIAA 1st Round at Woodstown High School.

The JV Girls Volleyball Team hosted their 1st ever match on Monday.  It was a thrilling 3 set affair that Burlington Township ended up winning in the 3rd set.  Check out the video highlighting the excitement the girls are showing in their 1st season!

The Football Team traveled to Wildwood on Friday, losing a competitive battle 25-6.  Michael Monroe ran for 55 yards and Jahmeer Latimore caught 3 passes for 30 yards.  The boys will travel to Maple Shade for their next game this Friday at 6PM.
